Tio digital thermostats have a calibration function that can be used to adjust the displayed temperature reading.
This calibration setting can be adjusted within the thermostat configuration menu.
To enter the menu turn the thermostat to ‘OFF’ and hold down the square for 5seconds.
Temperature calibration is setting 1 and can be adjusted to +/- 9°C to suit requirements.
Factory default setting is 0°C
Yes, to perform a factory reset of the configuration settings, first enter the menu by turning the thermostat to ‘off’ and holding down the square for 5 seconds. Next hold down the up & down arrows together for 7 seconds, until ‘def’ flashes on the screen, factory settings have now been restored. Only WiFi enabled ‘Smart’ Thermostats can be connected to the Smart Life app. Smart thermostats will display a flashing WiFi symbol indicating that are ready to be connected, this can be activated or reset by holding
down the on/off button for 7 seconds, if no symbol appears your thermostat it does not have the WiFi function.
Simple Smart upgrade kits are available if WiFi function is required
In most cases a remote floor sensor is not required.
Thermostats with no remote sensor attached will display an error if set to floor mode.
The Thermostat has an internal sensor that’s temperature is displayed when set to ‘RT’ (on the display) when set to ‘Floor’ a remote sensor is used (this can be in the floor or housed in a small enclosure within a room)
Remote sensors are often used in areas where moisture is present that could cause damage the thermostats circuitry such as bathrooms.
Sensor setting can be adjusted within the thermostat configuration menu.
To enter the menu turn the thermostat to ‘off’ and hold down the square for 5seconds.

‘OUT’ = Remote sensor
‘BOTH’ = Internal Thermostat & Remote Sensor as high temp cut off
Yes, Thermostat lighting settings can be adjusted in the configuration menu of your thermostat.
To enter the Config menu, turn the stat off on the on/off button and hold down the square in the centre for 5 seconds.
Lighting settings are setting 8 (Standby Backlight) & E (Operation Backlight) and can both be adjusted to your requirements.
Tio Thermostats can be used in many applications to control a variety of systems, however the thermostat is not directly responsible for generating or distributing heat, it may be necessary to engage a heating engineer or the contractor responsible for the system installation if areas are not getting warm.
The WiFi symbol is displayed above the temperature reading on the screen and can be reset/enabled by holding down the power button for 7 seconds, a blinking symbol indicates the thermostat is in pairing mode, the symbol will display as solid once paired.
In order to pair the thermostat with the Smart Life app, first select the correct pairing mode for your internet set up, there are 2 modes available:
Slow Blink – AP Mode (Access Point)
Rapid Blink – EZ Mode (Easy/Smart Config)
(If the Wi-Fi symbol is blinking rapidly hold down the power button again button for 7 seconds and repeat the process to access)
